Hmm. Interesting. I prefer the fuzz through fender, since it contains a sweeter disposition then the Marshall, and I tend to think that Marshall's colour the tone of many pedals, but that's just personal preference.

BTW, there's a demo of a homemade hybrid germanium/sillicon FF on youtube if you're interested in FF's.
