a friend of mine wants one of these soo bad... he's just afraid cause in some videos the finish looks like worn cherry... i told him that as long as it played well it wouldn't matter but he wants the guitar to look totally different to how you normally see an sg (cherry and ebony mostly) so can anyone tell me, if you've seen one of course, if it looks like worn cherry or if it's a nice brown color?

NEVER BUY SOMETHING YOU DONT WANT, You'll be disappointed the minute you get it home. What's important to your friend might not be so important to you so stay out of it.

btw i've read two sides to worn finishes some people say that this finish could take a real beating and still stay strong... others say that worn finishes are weaker than gloss finishes and will dent a lot easier... wanting to know the diference of who is just excited about the guitar they bought yesterday from the guys who've had one for ages which is the truth about the strength of the worn finishes from epiphone?

Had a Gibson SG in Worn Root Beer for a while now. Upgraded knobs, added pup covers and nicer russ rod cover, got a hot setup, that is one really, really sexy, playable, comfy guitar!
