I am a user of Dunlop Tortex Reds, and I have fiddled around with Oranges, I picked up a Dunlop Tortex Yellow yesterday and began playing and quickly noticed that for some reason it was less stiff than an orange oddly :S With oranges, Ive been feeling a stiffness and an almost plasticy feel to it, but with the Yellows its like the rhythm capabilities of the Reds with a nice Fender Celluloid heaviness while retaining a Tortex feel and lightness to it almost. Anybody else noticed this?

Err, can't say I have.

But I've recently discovered it's always worth reviewing your 'go to' plectrums. After using them for 10 years or more, I've just stopped using Dunlop green ones for a bigger and very slightly thinner plec. Can't believe how much more control I get now.

I thought this was going to be a thread on orange drops vs. yellow capacitors but since it's about picks I prefer Dunlop nylon .73mm and have used them since they were introduced.

I started with oranges but changed to yellow. Never looked back. They are thicker but not too think.
