So I apologise if this has been done before. But personally one of my least favourite things about digital music is the lost art of the good old B-Side! So I wanted to do a topic of your favourite B-Sides! Which could also perhaps help people delve deeper into artists than just their standard albums!

So I'll share some of mine to get started.

Ok so I thought it might be interesting for everyone to post up some of their favourite b-sides, songs that got relegated to the flip side in favour of 'bigger' singles. I've been looking and there are some cracking songs. I'll post a few to get going :p

Soul To Squeeze - Under The Bridge B-Side
Incredible song, one of Fleas greatest bass lines which carries the whole song. Ridiculous that this never made an album despite being one of their best songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPAAP2beM_Q

Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - "William, It Was Really Nothing B-Side
Ok so probably at 1:53 could never have been released as a single. But what a song it is!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMQbzLrvwlE

$@! On Feel The Noize - Don't Look Back in Anger B-Side
Ok so I totally understand this never being a single or on an album, lets be honest it's just a Slade cover, but a good feel good cover for me, and Don't Look Back In Anger is an A-Side in anyones money!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6E-6jiTlIQ

Acquiesce - Some Might Say B-Side
Brilliant Oasis song, never made it to an album until they did a B-Side compilation. It's one of my favourite songs they recorded.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYCcJjuGN6k

Now I give it up to you guys, the community here seems like a group of people that would have a head full of great b-side material of various genres to share!

Oh and if this has been done before feel free to mock, abuse and chase me away with torches and pitchforks

Even In His Youth - Nirvana - SLTS b side
Cool song, a few different versions floating around.

Shut Up - The Jesus Lizard - b side to some random song off the album Shot (I'll look it up later)
IIRC this is a Dicks cover, and a damn good one at that.

Teenager(s) - Meat Puppets - I honestly have no damn clue what it's from, but I know it's a b side from around the time of their first album.
REALLY, REALLY good song. Starts off as wild, chaotic hardcore for about 30 seconds, then goes into this amazing psychedelic jam that makes it one of my favorite songs ever. I really do wish there was more music like this song.

Moist V****a - Nirvana - All Apologies b side
Yup.

I love it! Quite the unexpected change of pace after the intro. Thanks for that one.

If you like that you would probably like the entire Meat Puppets II album. Unfortunately, it recently got a bit harder to acquire as it was taken off iTunes and amazon mp3 thing, so I think it may be going out of print or something :?

Re Firebird XL-5-If it is the song that goes:"I wish I was a spaceman,The fastest guy alive,we'd cruise along the universe in Fireball XL-5" etc. That was the theme song an animated series using marionettes from way back in the 60s.It was originated in England I believe as Corgi made some toys based on that and a similar series called Thunderbirds.

Guitslinger, it doesn't. It's not the Bob Downe song. Very different, somewhat disturbed sounding.
