Tim I am late to the post because I didn't see it, but I do want you to know that your "Uncle" is in my prayers. It is my hope that he will recover from this and continue to be a role model for you in your life. No matter the outcome it is obvious that his life has had a good affect on you. I encourage you to take those lessons to heart and live your life in a way that will make him proud.

dammit tim, i've been out of town and just read this. i'm 43 and have a huge family. these calls come far too often these days. my uncle is here in a hospital in dallas. i pray for him and your cousin.

Things aren't looking too good for Steve. He has developed a blood clot due to a shunt they put in his arm, and I'm not clear on the details but they have some sort of procedure to do tomorrow to help break up the clot. The dr's not sounding too optimistic.

So guys...I always heard that no news is good news. And in this case that statement rings very true. Steve's vitals have stabilized over the last couple of days and now they're going to leave him alone and just monitor everything to ensure that nothing gets worse. He hasn't been incredibly responsive but the fact that his blood pressure hasn't been spiking anymore is great news.
