Boss BD2 "Blues Driver" pedal I mistakenly powered up with ac power and smoked had been niggling away at me, after a bit of web surfing found that it's actualy quite a common fault ( stupidity), anyhoo after getting past all the negative "chuck in the bin", " buy a new one" posts, found all that was req'd was to replace the reverse polarity protector diode that the smartypants at Boss foresaw a need for, so for the price of some loose change in the pocket and a small solder snot repair the Boss lives again only to sit on the shelf I might add as the Blackstar HT drive I aquired doggy pee's all over it, don't know if this diode protector is common to all pedals just a heads up to anyone unfortunate to have smoked a pedal as I did
