Medical Marijuana is alive and well in Seattle.



According to KING5 NEWS today. Dispensaries are open for business. and all that is required is a prescription from a Dr. and not necessarily a Medical Dr. but Evan a Chiropractor so long as he/she is treating you, and that you have the $50. or so to pay for the prescription. That dose not cover the cost of the Drugs. Well over $100 for reportadly enough to last you several days. any prescription medication I ever had came with specific instructions on dosage. nothing was said about that for the Marijuana. There is legislation under way to legalise it and sell it out of State run retail Stores(Liquor Stores). In My opinion I would rather see it sold at pharmasys like all other prescription drugs. Maby other States are doing the same thing I don't know Just thought I'd share this with you guys.

Heard on the news the fight against drugs, marijuana specifically, hasent gone to well for the price in georgia, it said governor is really looking into legalization

I have had my prop 215 card for the last three years. I don't think marijuana should be legalized and sold on the level of alcohol (which in my opinion shouldn't be legal at all, but that's a different conversation altogether), however I think cannabis is very useful in a medial sense, and it has been much more effective for me than the Xanax I was originally prescribed.

In Canada now if you have a doctors prescription to use marijuana you can't be charged if you are in possession of under 30 gms. any more than that and you'll be charged with trafficking.As the Vice President on our provincial pain group I know a lot of people across Canada who for many different reasons can't take narcotics and other potent painkillers and marijuana has been a panacea for them.It is also used for people who suffer insomnia due to chronic pain and for people who are suffering nausea from narcotics or chemo therapy. A lot of people who suffer from nausea can't take anti--nauseants such as metaclopramide ,Gravol etc. and marijuana works well for them also.

Medical tests are ongoing in pharmaceutical labs worldwide to use marijuana to control seizures,migraines,and even tumors and psychological disorders.It is being found that the medicinal properties could be far more over reachinng than thought before.

How do you take it? Is smoking it the only option?

Well I know that Florida for one isn't going to legalize that any time soon. They've been debating but not getting anywhere!

On top of smoking, there is also the option to vaporize (similar to smoking but much better on the lungs), there are edibles, oils, and even topical creams. Lots of different options, and even the first time user will be able to find something they're comfortable with. Dispensary employees can also help with selection, and I'm sure there are other options I haven't seen yet.

Yeah there is definitely a few different ways, one of my friends used to suffer from leukaemia and she was prescribed THC pills along with other things, so thats one way of going about it.

What gets me is people screaming against it being legal for medicinal use, yet they are more than happy to chug down bottles of oxycodone based drugs which are a horrendously addictive and damaging substance. It's like the legal clean side of heroin. It boggles me that people are so blind in their opposition to certain things.
