I have used Fender 351 Heavy tortoise shell type picks for a while now. I last bought a gross, they came in a square plastic box and I guess a gross is about 6 dozen.

I have tried to buy more but they don't seem to have them in heavy. Guitar Center had the big box but they were medium.

So I bought the heavys that came a dozen in the little tiny zip lock bag. I think they called them classic celluloid.

There is a big difference between these picks and I need to find the old ones.

The difference being: My old 351's were ever so slightly smaller, and I mean ever so slightly but enough that it matters to me, mine were darker in color deeper brown, the word fender on the pick was flush with the pick and not raised lettering as they are on the new ones I bought, and the edge was very smooth on the older ones that I had which made for smooth playing and warmer tone.

I'm not out of my mind. I think anyone who looks at these new ones and compares will see and feel the difference.

HOW DO I FIND THE OLDER ONES? Why would they make this change or distinction between packaged picks?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to James V. Roy. I will try and order those. If they are the right ones I will order a bunch. Worth the 21 bucks to me to take a chance.

Thanks for the tip.
