Is this a FMIC sanctioned contest/raffle? and is Fender advertising PRS guitars now? Just asking. I noticed several references to a website and home page where products can be purchased with various credit cards or Pay-pal. Sounds like all proceeds are going to a worthy cause.

posted this on Harmony and a guy cant stand it --he's all over bashing it--maybe he's a straight Gibons fan, who knows--i see a lot of guitars that i dont care for or wouldnt buy but i would NOT bash someones guitar !!! :shock:

here is what a guy had to say about this guitar--to each his own, but this is a little heavy :evil:

i personally like the guitar a lot----

to me it's an eye sore.. it reminds me of the photoshop filter-heavy graphics you'd see all over geocities sites in the late 90s. there was a photoshop plugin called "eye candy" popular at one time that produced hideous effects that for some reason novice graphicteers thought looked totally sweet. (edit: it may still be around, I haven't checked it out in forever, but at that time, at least, the things it did were generally terrible)

ugly colors, cheesy textures. all I see is gaudy. I simply can't understand how anyone thinks this guitar looks good. but I'll let them have that opinion if they want and I won't try and minimize them for their opinion.

for what it's worth if the guitar had a more simple finish, such as a solid color or maybe even a tasteful sunburst, I'd think it's fine. My main issue is with that hideous finish, and while I don't feel strongly about bird inlays either way, the finish and birds complement eachother and sort of create a vortex of tackiness. I have to wonder about the design sense of whoever makes these decisions

Yes you can purchase a raffle ticket, regardless of where you live. This is open to anyone worldwide.

Just be aware that you are responsible for any and all taxes, import duty fees, shipping & insurance.

But that's cheap compared to the value of this instrument.
