Derek is good, but Duane is Slide Guitar. Even if you didn't count his work with the Allman brothers, his slide playing on Derek and Dominos would have made him everyones favorite slide player! The way he pushed Eric Clapton had never been done before...or since...although young Derek does give EC a bit of that.

I told Gregg Allman that I named one of my sons after his brother...and he looked at me with a far away look and just said "thank you"....it was during a time when Gregg was really messed up....or at least seemed to be.
