Just purchased Meddle on vinyl. Original pressing from 1971. Wow does it sound good. So much more more going on in Echoes than you would hear on digital format. Any other fans of vinyl out there?

Meddle on vinyl is fantastic. I have a 1971 pressing when it came out. I saw them do Meddle in concert.

Couldn't agree more. I wish i had the opportunity to see them live at all! All the same, i'd say the gig was amazing.

When I saw Pink Floyd doing Meddle, they were using the new at that time, Quad PA system.

I have all of Pink Floyd's vinyl from Piper At The Gates Of Dawn right up to Wish You Were Here. After Wish You..... my interest in them waned but I still listen to their old vinyl and plan to transfer it all to CD from vinyl rather than buy the CDs as I prefer the old analogue format for sound quality.Meddle is my absolute favourite Pink Floyd album and the first time I played it at home in 1971 my mother actually loved it too-especially Echoes.I always loved Fearless and One Of These Days.

What digital format and what bitrate and what method of listening? A high quality lossless codec has almost no peer.

But you can't compare digital and vinyl, they're different You're comparing analog and digital audio, sine waves vs square waves. It's annoying.

Welcome to the Forum dantbmc. I still have the original copy of "Meddle" that I bought in 1971 when I was in the UK. Fresh, as the youngsters now-a-days proclaim when they hear an artist that rocks and is innovative. When I first heard the album Meddle I liked it and then it grew on me

Especially the way i did, sifting through the thrift shop bins. it took a long time to get them but eventually by hook or by crook i got most all of them and really nice ones too. To be honest most of the 2000+ vinyl albums i have were given to me by people getting rid of their piles or from thrift shop finds. I would estimate maybe 150 - 200 of them were bought at higher than $5.
