That really sucks. I know how helpless it feels to have something stolen. Maybe offer a reward to any neighborhood kids, if it leads to you recovering your stuff.

I still can't believe it... I am devastated.

I left it in my garden office and it was taken from there. They must have climbed over the fence and then left through the garden gate.

I still have the tags with the serial number. I have reported it to the police but what else can I do to try to locate it? No doubt, the people who stole it would have no clue as to its model and value, so they will just try to flog it for some easy cash. Where should i be looking? I tried on ebay uk, but it's not there. Any advice?

tremolo arm, sad story Bro. More concerned if they took credit cards or computer with personal information. My Telecaster was taken by my best friend (at that time) along with my wah pedal, fuzz box, records, clothes et al. I knew it was him because we were room-mates and I haven't seen or heard from him since then lol. For a long time I wondered if the act was an indictment of him as a person or of my ability to assess people's personalities. Haven't had a guitar stolen in the 43 odd years since (knock wood), so my people skills have hopefully improved.lol

One of my friends had his Gibson Les Paul stolen a couple of weeks ago. He contacted the police the day it was stolen and the next day he called literally every guitar shop he could think of in Houston. He described the guitar to them and at one store they sounded like it might have rung a bell with them. But they wouldn't tell him whether they had the Les Paul or not. So he had to drive over there and sure enough it was his guitar! For some reason they just wouldn't tell him about it over the phone. They had also drilled holes and installed new tuning machines in the hours that they had it. But the important thing is that he got his guitar back, he just had to do some work to get it. So the quicker you do it the better, you don't want some guitar shop somewhere to sell it.

It seems obvious but putting out the word to every musician, band, and music store as well. Chances are if someone gets their hands on it and doesn't know it was stolen he/she will be talking about their excellent new guitar to other musicians.

It's a crap situation, seems a good idea that the guitar was the target and that the other things were just convenient items to snatch while they were in there.

Thanks everyone.

I went around the pawn shops and am constantly monitoring ebay and gumtree, but so far nothing...

I don't have the serial number on me, but I think I still have some of the tags, so hopefully it's printed there.

Thanks again for your support

They took other stuff too. They took cash from my wallet, cameras and my PS3. And it all happened while we were sleeping next door!

wow that's quite a spread i guess it was someone you didn't know well you got some good suggestions here pal give them a shot ;)

Still not convinced the guitar wasn't the main target, the other stuff is easily lifted on the way out. Suspect everyone for the moment, you might soon get some leads.
Good luck.

I think Rhumba's spot on here........because sadly, when something such as that is taken, it's usually a "friend" that knows you have it & where it may be.
I've had MUCH more stuff stolen by friends/relatives than by strangers.
Also, if you don't have the tags the s/n should be on the sales recipt.

sorry for your lose. I understand your feelings... when i was a teenager i lived in a nice house in the middle of nowhere. We got robbed not once but twice because of our location. We all lost not only our meager possessions but also our feeling of security. Finally the buttmonkey was caught and put in jail but we lost so much. Personally i wanted to find his family and friends and pay them a few "visits" but calmer heads prevailed and i was talked out of my vengeful ways. I hope that you get your guitar back, if you don't please do not let it consume you. It did me for a while (i was a teen so rage and violence was not exactly a stranger to my life) but in the long run it would have caused more harm than good.

Look for your guitar but in the mean time, find your new axe and move on. I know it will never sit right with you, hell to this day some 20 years later i still would not mind a few unsupervised rounds with the p.o.s. that robbed us but as they say "possessions are fleeting". i know you can be a better man. I hope your AM Deluxe finds it's way back to you and you write a song or two about it but if not... make a new guitar feel at home with you.
