Here are some pix from the Gibson Factory in Memphis on two different tours, in August of 2001 and 2002.

Cool pix, thanx for posting. That wall of Les Pauls is something else, definitely a GAS inducer.I'd love to go to Memphis and tour the factory then make a side trip to The Rendezvous for the best ribs in the world and then onward to Graceland to drool over Elvis' lovely guitars that I remember from his movies and videos of his concerts.I still have a bottle of water taken from the Mississippi River as it passes through Memphis and I keep it in my music room for inspiration.

Yeah, the Rendezvous is renowned for the their ribs, if you like them dry. I prefer them wet and would opt to head for Blues City on Beale instead.

As for the guitars, until you can make the trip check these out in the interim

Scotty Moore is a real good friend of one of my closest buddys who I've bought several guitars and amps from. When Lew-my buddy-was in either Nashville or Memphis one time he went to Scotty's home for a visit and fell in love with Scotty's one off Gibson jazz box. Scotty immediately phoned Gibson's speciality shop-this was quite a few years ago- and asked them to build a lefty model of his guitar that was a mirror image of his. Needless to say Lew still has it and it never ventures outside his house.
