If you're in the Milford/Devon area there is a great shop called Route 1 Guitars. Very cheap and good quality work. I'll never go back to Guitar Center again. It only cost me $75 for a pickup change. The best service you'll ever have. Granted it's not as enormous as GC but it has a wide range of guitars. Five stars from me.

hey, for $75 you could have bought a quality iron, solder, and a book that shows you how
to do it and still saved money.

Do they have lawyers doing their work? $75 bucks for an hours worth of work seems a little steep.

the guitar sounds awesome, very good work and they even offered to replace a string if they broke one when putting my old strings on. Better than Guitar Center charging me $150 for to put the new ones in and another $70 to do a setup.

I have been looking for a good place to get work done in the Milford area. I have been very reluctant to get any work done at the Guitar Center in Orange. I am planning to get my strat worked on at the Sam Ash in New haven as it is a Fender Authorized Repair Center. If things don't go well there I will try Route 1 Guitars. FYI if you ever need your amp worked on there is a place in the milford / Devon area called Audio Nexus that does good work at a very reasonable price.
