I've heard a lot people are doing this these days with really good results.

Has anybody had this done to their Fender neck? Experiences?

Plek'ing is becoming standard on some major manufacturers...

I have never had it done, but some people claim its the biggest change since the Buzz Feiten mods...

Maybe I'm dense but I don't really understand what that is yet.

If you click the link the skele's post it will take you to the Plek website. I'm not entirely sure what it is either, but from a very quick read it would seem to be a system designed to icrease playability through fret dressing. I could be total wrong, but that seems to be part of it.

Yeah, I looked at that site. But what do they do to redress the frets? Or is it some neck mod? Just wondering, seems risky to take your "baby" and have someone run it through a machine to modify it.

From all the hype about it, I was under the impression that it's the best fret dressing you could ever have. I probably would never have it done though, being that I play hard and have a pretty high action, it would seem useless to me, was just wondering how good this was for other people. This sounds like something for people that would want their action as low as possible without any fret buzz.

Low action with no fret buzz, that's me. I got lazy cuz my Musicmaster bass that I've had for 10 years has such low action. No idea how that bass doesn't get fret buzz but it's smooooooooth.

Anyway, an intriguing thing.
