Yep 72..i have a 70...it needs work..but its all there..

heh... I guess the 52nd week of 1971 does make it 1972... I picked up a 1968 Blender not long ago which I have yet to really put through its paces — yours looks similar. Mine is all original apart from the battery clip, which seems to be the first part to fail on these pedals. The battery can rattle about inside and damage the electronics if it's not secured in some way. As far as I know, they have silicon transistors and germanium diodes (as do the reissues)... there are some great sounds tucked away in these crazy boxes!

It would seem that if they came out in '69 or so that a '72 would probably still be one of the original designs. Fender usually quits making something for a while before they decide to do a Reissue.

I see NEW reissues are out right now for $199.
