As the summer is essentially getting into full swing, I said to my self last night, "Gee, I really could go for a charcoal barbecued hamburger." (I'm of simple tastes, you know.) And this was the end of it.

Well, I get a flat tire today. Of course, most of us know that lousy feeling all too well. So, I go to this new tire store down the highway from me to get it fixed. They just happened to be having a 'tent sale' on tires and guess what? They were offering free charcoal barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs, cooked right there on the spot! Well, I had that burger I was yearning for and even a free soda too! Granted, the tire repair cost me but the surprise of that delicious hamburger really did a 360 for my mood.

Life can be tough but once in a while it can be nice too. :D

Nothing beats a real charcoal barbeque,a propane can't hold a candle to it.A couple of years ago we went out and bought a monster charcoal barbeque/smoker that's so big you can do a couple of 10 lb. turkeys on the rotisserie.I just baste the insides with barbeque sauce, sprinkle wet mesquite chips on the coals and let her smoke and bake for about 4 hrs then smother it with barbeque sauce for the final 45 minutes.
A couple of weeks ago we bought a little 15" kettle barbeque so that we wouldn't have to haul out the big one for just a couple of burgers or steaks.
