I hope you didn't pay too much for the enchanted underwear. LOL

Seriouly though, I bet I'm not the only person who'll say it wasn't bad. I thought it sounded pretty good actually.

Sweet! Makes me almost want to go pick up a Squier. And I agree with Voodoo the playing ain't bad at all. The first part almost sounded like 40 Miles to Vegas (can't remember what band played that song).

btw...how you liking that Little '59 now that you've had a chance to mess with it a bit? Sounds great on the video.

It sounds good with less gain than what is in the video. I was pummeling the amp with 2 pedals just to see how the guitar would handle it.

It is a good overall pickup. It will cover most humbucker tones except for metal, but still being in a Stratocaster, it has beefy tone. Chords sound great and the strings ring out individually very well. Harmonics come easily.

It has adjustable pole pieces on both pickups, but I have not touched them.

I would definitely buy another as a single coil replacement, but it does not match a full humbucker... close, but not quite. 8.5 / 10

8.5 of 10 isn't too bad. I'd only heard one in a Tele previously, never in a Strat, but I like it. Maybe adjusting the pole-pieces a little after you're used to the pickup in it's "out of the box" setup will help to make up a little of what you feel is lacking compared to a full-sized humbucker.

We're all our own worst critics Tim, I'd still rather listen to some of the raw uncomplicated posts you guys on the forum put out than most of the mainstream mince thats on the radio, even if it is only a 2 minute clip, Rock On.

For sure ripitup...I'm a major self critic. Then again, some of my all time favorite musicians were hard on themselves too. Hendrix would do 100 takes on one small part of a track if he wasn't happy with it.

The first time I heard a recording of my voice, I thought, "Who is that hick?"

I didn't realize how strong my Texas accent is...

As far as your playing, you're much too critical; I know people think too much of their own playing who aren't as good as you. I wish you would put longer clips up--just when I start grooving, you change gears on me.
