some online musical site classify guitars by fret size, if not, it will be in the description, but just look for something with jumbo frets i suppose

One option would be a nylon string classical guitar. They generally have wider necks.

Heresy: some Gibsons, like Flying Vs and Explorers, have wider necks.

You didn't hear me type that.

I just got the new American Standard Strat and their fret board is suppose to have larger frets. My fingers are like sausages due to teaching Martial Arts years ago and I can play chords clearly on it. Try playing one in your local dealer and good luck with your decision.

Stevie Ray had big hands and I have decent sized ones. I think you just have to get used to it. Besides that, if your interested that is, Basses are pretty big instruments compared to guitars.

Wider necks maybe, but I think the shorter scale might not help the large fingers/hands issue...
