$@!&. I'm going to buy a new guitar with my bonus this year, but I wanna keep myself under $1000 and I want something a little different, so I'm torn. I've played the old Mosrite Johnny Ramone model, but not the Hallmark version. Opinions on either?

i was really tempted to buy the johnny ramone sig by hallmark at one point. i'd say go for the pawn shop mustang, as that'd probably have more tones

I vote Mustang on this one. I haven't played one yet, but they look cool as hell, and it's a Fender so you know quality won't be an issue.

If I had the same choice I'd go for the Mosrite due to the sheer funkiness of it and quite frankly I'm not at all fond of the Pawnshop Series. The idea of a Mustang with humbuckers just doesn't do it for me-give me a single coil any day-now that's a Mustang.

I have to go with Mustang here, which if you've looked at some of my other posts, won't be a surprise.

The Mustang will retain its value...not sure about the knock-off. That being said if itys an ax you don't foresee getting rid of in the future (lol) I'd go with the......stang

I say the Mustang just because it has more sounds to offer with the coil splitting.... I think it has something 18 different pickup configurations?

Eastwood JR Elite.

When I can find one local to try out, I'll likely buy it.

Nothing looks like that guitar. There's no other weapon as suited to wearing round the knees and knocking walls down. Now that Mosrite are gone.

But on the Eastwoods, I've heard they have baseball bat necks.... can anyone confirm?

The JR Elite looks nice as $@!&. I #$@*&!% love thick $@! baseball bat necks. So torn. The Mustang looks cool and all but I already have so many Fenders...

I think I am totally buying a Danelectro 56 though in addition to whatever I decide, it's gorgeous, got a fantastic review in Guitar World and I've seen it go for under $300, so it'll be a neat addition.

I really don't need the Enforcers. They're high output monsters and all, and they sound awesome with a Tube Screamer but they don't handle clean shifts too well and my John 5 Tele already has Enforcers in it. But I'm not too concerned with pups, I have an extra set of Dragsters I pulled from a Jaguar I would probably throw in anyways. I just #$@*&!% love the way the PS stangs look. I dunno. I already have a Koyuki signature edition comp. orange Mustang....so torn.

It's now called the Mach Two--but the same guitar.

Probably had to change the name due to the Hallmark one.
