I'll get to see this guy one day. :D

Thanks Rip, yeah, I'd forgotten about them.
Joe, Bonham, Hughes, to name but.....how many was that?...yeh! three and the others too, sounds like a good night.
Went to see Jeff Beck at the Apollo a while back and I'd just missed Joe, he had been on the week before. Yeah Rip, I'll check that one out.
Cheers man.

A few months ago my wife emailed me to say her favoured ticket agency had sent round a flyer announcing that Joe is doing two consecutive nights at the Hammersmith Apollo in London in the autumn, one seated gig and one standing - and which did I want to go to?

But I wasn't quick enough replying, so she bought tickets for... both.

:D

Just a suggestion, Rhumba.

Cheers - C

Yes!! it arrived by the way, on Friday. Wow man, those things are hellish difficult to get any sense out of. All I can do is wave my arms up and down and get some soaring sci-fi sounds, with lots of reverb and overdrive (haha)......Er..yes..well. I've been going for that siren sound. You know the one? (Sloe Gin)...yeh!...yeh!...well I might find it.
Hmmm.....I can see me throwing this freakin' thing through the window.
No!!....no.....I'm going to persevere. I'll get something out of this :D but I can see it taking a while.
Have ya ever thought 'Why did I do this?'...it's like that Rip....it's like that.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Hey man, I've found a vid here of Joe and he's using his Theremin on this song and he does about as much as I can do. Yeah!! there is hope for me yet, dare I aspire to great heights?

He uses the theremin Moore this time than he did at Albert Hall. I have never noticed it before . Has he been using it long?

I think Joe is riding the same Star Ship that I aspired to as a kid, and could never catch. The man is an absolute genius. WOW.
----Danny, :) :)

No argument here. His playing blows my mind sometimes. Especially anything on Sloe Gin.

If you think to check out his YouTube kid stuff there's a couple of him at about 12 / 15.

Well Danny, my dear friend Ceri and his Mrs, the two of which I had the good fortune to break bread with in NYC last September, can be seen in the audience in the special features of the Albert Hall DVD.{which, if you don't own, is a must} During the acoustic set you'll see a shot of a guy whispering into the right ear of the lady to his left. Bingo! What's more, Ceri told me that the subject of that whisper was your truly, and something that I had said. Cheap pathway to immortality all around, I fear. I saw JB on Long Island, in the round, at Westbury. Stage right and fifth row back. The back line was setup such that everytime he soloed he turned toward his bass player and faced us directly. Better seats you couldn't ask for. I don't know that I'd need to see him live more than once really, but that's me. It appears that my newly found friend Kong [with whom I attended the Clapton Auction preview the week before, where we had a close look at that notorious 'gold lame' Strat of JB's] has tickets for the Beacon Theatre concert in Nov, a gig my friends and I were too late finding out about to have a shot at good seats. Judging from the number of times Mrs. C. has endeavored to see this guy, I'd back off on the meet and greets, my friend. I personally think everything JB's involved in is worth supporting if possible, at the minimum, his recordings, including his work with BCC. Tone wise, owning everything he's released, I'd have to say that the Gibson arsenal though his current signal chain and backline, rules, but what the hell do I know. :o I'll turn 69 in August, and there's a number no one should find fault with. 8)

Thank You for shearing that with me, I normally don't get so caught up with a performer but this young guy is very special. An incredible TALENT. And I My friend, am turning 68 in august. How about that :)

----Danny,

Well, guy....you're catching up to me real fast. What we have behind us, the panorama of the evolution of rock music, and the rise and fall of many artists. So when we see something like a JB from all his sides, we see the potential, and it is a pleasure to be able to support someone of his ilk. I wish him well. I hope the future finds him wearing the mantle of the likes of Beck, Clapton, Guy, Page, and Richards, when he reaches their current ages, if providence be kind.
