It's a known fact that just about everyone on this forum suffers severe GAS, some cases far more severe than others. We've had topics for it before, but usually it's more like "what is looks interesting to you" than definite buys. So this topic is for what you are almost certain will be you're next purchase(s). Not "well maybe if I see one I'll check it out", no, I'm talking instruments that you are on a mission to get, that guitar that you will be going out of your way to acquire.

For me, I see some more aluminum in my future :P . Depending on how payment works, I may be putting in an order for an Electrical Guitar Company "Standard" rather soon. No matter how long I have to save for it, that WILL be my next guitar. Beautiful instruments. 8)

So what have you guys been lookin for lately? :D

Well seeing as though I am going into college, I wont have too much $$$ laying around. I would like to get a MIM Strat. Unfortunately I feel I am at least 4 years away. Oh well.

I near had a trouser crisis when I saw the blacktop jazzbass. I'm old enough to get job in 3 months so its not out of the cards. I'll wait and see what colour options there are when its officially released.

Well I should be picking up my new strat on Friday so that'll keep me happy for now. I have some good paying work lined up for the next few months before university, so I may look at a small tube amp or a classic 50's or 60's strat. I might even get a decent secondhand one for a project....

Damn, I just gave myself GAS!

Do things that you want to try and make count as gas?

I was intending to get a 1960A cab for to compliment my 1960 B for my Marshall JCM 800 2204 head but since I got the MG 4-12 A cab the 1960 A has the moved down the list. Now the next bit of gear on my list is a Roger Meyer Octavia or a pedal that can give me the octave up along with a nice distortion/overdrive.I have a Danelectro French Toast Octave/distortion but it only works well on notes up around the 12th-15th frets.

BTW Any suggestions of a good octave up pedal with and octave mix function built in?
