BINGO...no chick and I repeat NO CHICK is worth plotting to get back. This is where things don"t add up bro.If you have to plot to get a girl back you got bigger problems than trying to have a relationship with a girl that most likely doesn't want to have one with you.If you want to become famous, there are way better ways than coming on the Fender forum with bogus intentions. If you really want to get her back...don't come on here asking a bunch of musicians to view a video of you and ask us to spread the word about your video.Go talk to her in private and keep it off the forums. That kinda stuff is personal man...not for the world to know
Again my.02 as harsh as it may be

You can't really get YouTube famous unless you're getting kicked in the balls or falling of a chair. Musicians don't get YouTube famous. Anyway, question my intentions all you'd like; I've got far greater concerns right now.

Thanks to everyone that listened, and offered advice!

Hey guys! A year and some change back I used to post videos of new songs I had written here and get feedback. You guys really helped me grow as songwriter, but video editing is a massive pain so eventually I got tired of the whole YouTube thing.

Anyway, my girlfriend and I broke up a few days ago, and I've been plotting ways to win her back ever since. Long story short, I wrote this song for her and made a video/proper recording, just like I used to.

You can find it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYephDU6GNo (notice the guitar- my other baby, an '08 American Standard Strat running through a Vox AC4TV).

So, the plan now is to get it to go viral. But of course, I need help.

If you like the song, and you want to help me out, spread it around. Send it to whoever; facebook, other forums, anything. I'm really hoping I can get enough momentum going for this to happen.

Thanks guys, and, of course, let me know what you think of the song.

Good job, welcome back!

I don't see much reference being made to the girl on the page.. :?: But anyways, seriously- take the Doc's advice. The worst thing you can do when you break up with a girl, is come across desperate to win her back. This will most likely go very bad and land you in a bigger pile of mess & embarrasment. The reason is my friend, is that the last thing a woman wants is a man begging & getting emotional about the break up & wanting her back. It just looks bad & not a very manly thing to do. Woman want to be with men who are strong emotionally and are independant & can sort thier own s*** out.

What will work, is that you walk away with what ever pride you have left- take a concrete pill and drink a cold can of 'Man Up'.. dont try getting in any 'last words' and leave it be. If she wants you, she will call. But if not, you have to face the fact that there is a reason for the break up, that the break up will make her happier & thats the way it is. On TV, this may seem like a good idea. But in reality- from a womans perspective it is a little creepy... maybe a lot. My advice, take it like a man & remove the vid before your next potential girlfriend sees this. This has the potential to give you a reputation if you know what I mean..

I would never write a song about a girl.. maybe a relationship but no girl deserves a song, nor a second chance.

I have lived many many years now, and regretfilly make a fool of myself over many women, and wasted many years, tears and time. Then I grew older and grew wiser.

It ain't worth it!

Trust me, let her go and move on. I know it stings and your soul feels empty. Let her go and if she returns to you then it is "perhaps?" destiny (only perhaps). If you cling and try and manipulate the situation she will loose respect for you.

Damn, some of you guys are bitter! Haha thanks guys, but you're right, I'll have to figure this one out on my own. A fool's errand still keeps you busy, and that's all I really want right now. If it works, it works, if it doesn't, I'm not groveling at the feet of anyone. Don't confuse saying, "hey, maybe we shouldn't; sorry for messing up," with being desperate.

To the person that said no girl is worth writing a song for: that's the most inane thing I've ever heard. Probably somewhere around 90% of the songs guys write are about women. Ever listen to any Dylan? You ought to check out "Blood on the Tracks," there's nothing desperate about it; it's just beautiful.

You probably just haven't met the right one yet, but I'm sure you will someday and you'll rethink that statement.

Besides, the song never explicitly asks for her back anyway, it just asks her not to forget about what we had.

Again, thanks guys for everyone that listened, and offered advice!

That's because she'll know/knows what it's about, and that's the primary target anyway. Again, it isn't about becoming "YouTube famous" like some of you accused me of, it's just that a video carries a bit more weight if it's been viewed 200 times, rather than 2 times.

So thanks to everyone that watched, and if you'd like, let me know what you think of another song I wrote yesterday:

Little boy and girl standing in the shower playing 'doctor'......
"......and.....''pointing to himself..."I have one of these!
"......and....."pointing to herself...." I have one of these...and with one of these I can get as many of those as I want" :!:
Remember what the Baby Bear said when he looked in his bed??????......."Good night everybody :!: "

That about wraps it up. 8)

What a bunch of cynics.
I must say I'm a bit disappointed guys. I mean ok, perhaps not the right place here, but not the right thing to do? When else would the best songs be written than in a heartache or when in other hardships of love? No Shakespeare? No Yesterday? No Layla? Are you serious?

Lucas wrote it well in Return of the Jedi when Luke says to Darth Vader:
You've only forgotten. I know there is good in you.

And as we know, there was still love in Vader.

OP, I don't know if this was the right place for the promotion of your act, but no-one has the right to tell you you're wrong in what you're doing. Good luck.
