Hi people, im looking into these effects pedals,

1.Wah pedal
2.looper pedal
3.Equalizer pedal
4.Pedal for pre-amp distortion

Please recommend me the best brands because i just wanna roughly know about these things. Also, about the True bypass thingy. Do i need it? Please give me your feedbacks thanks!

Like a Band-aid, eh Nevin?

Frost, as a general suggestion you may like to check out some Youtube demos to get an idea of what sound you are looking for. Also, online reviews are not trustworthy to everyones ear, but give a good idea of the types of effects that musicians have been going with lately.

Some people may suggest searching for some old school pedals too, like old Vox wahs, russian big muffs, ect.

Here are my suggestions (again though my opinion, i like these pedals)

Wah: I'm planning on getting an Ibanez W10HV2. Its an eighties style wah, used by artists like John Frusciante (always loved RHCP since I was little) Pro: you can get a lot out of it, its very versatile Con: Doesn't have "true bypass," which to me is not a big deal

Loop: Digitech JamMan Solo- A great pedal that offers expandable memory (with a simple SD card) and pc interface as well (something digitech does a lot)

Equalizer: BOSS EQ- I've had experience with this one in the shop (we carry BOSS), and Its pretty awesome. BOSS makes some pretty heavy duty pedals, and this thing is solid.

Distortion: so many good ones... My heart goes out to the EHX Big Muff. (I have the one with the tonewicker option) Its like a legend in the pedal world... The one with the tonewicker really opens up to some more sounds that you can't get with just the normal BM alone, all for just ten bucks more (with it being still reasonably priced for a high quality pedal)
