I don't see the big deal. It's a display cabinet with no amp in it. Kind of like the dummy TV's and stereo stuff at IKEA.

Hi Brown005: "bidding has ended on this item" - did you buy it?

Might be fun for storing your spare strings and such in your practice room. Or drinks glasses. Or have by the front door for keys and flashlights and to let visitors know just exactly what they're getting into when they come visiting your house.

Or did you have some other plan?

Cheers - C

Yes it was I bounced around a few ideas, making it a radio for the iphone, placing strings and picks, or making a shadow box, full of fender things I have a fender custom shop martini set, a flask,a zippo lighter, the custom shop pick tin set... I thought of re covering it in the fender cloth tweed because the tolex is in pretty rough shape, and Im good with tweed it is an awesome little display. and for $66 its something to play around with if i ever want to build my own practice amp.

Well I've recovered it with tweed and it looks amazing i will post a few pictures if anyone wants to see. I used all the same screw holes and nail holes. I am having a new piece of plexiglass cut from a local shop. When I took off the old blonde tolex I laid them flat and heated them up to get all the wrinkles out and measured and traced to get the right sizes.it almost makes me want to build an amp and throw a speaker in there....

What he said ^.

That was very quick! And pictures are more than welcome here...it prevents us from having to read too much...lol.
That display is pretty cool...I can think of a thousand different uses for something like that. It'd be pretty easy to build a speaker cab in the bottom shelf area and then put an iPod dock on it. I'd probably use it as a cool looking spot to store my growing collection of guitar related tools and parts.

Very clean work on that cabinet, so what are your thoughts on the amp build? How about a stereo Princeton? ( )

Cheers,

I think Ive decided to store some ofthe pedals I dont play out much in here. Sit it around my amps so it blends in then just pull out the pedal when I want to play.
