hes anyone done one of these "ULTRA" mods to their DS-1? I modded mine, and while it does sound great, I get alot of hiss and the level is extremely high. everything works as it should except the added hiss when the effect is engaged. are there any suggestions out there that may help me calm it down?

I did a mod to a BD-2, from Monte Allums, sounds great and very quiet. I build a couple of build your own clone pedals as well, sound great and very quiet.

Double, triple check all your work, even reflow all the solder joints. There could be a cold solder joint even if it looks ok.

If there is a forum where you got the mod from use it, take a picture and send it to the forum, usually lots of help there.

good luck.

no problem. have you double checked all your connections and retracked your steps on the mod? stupid question i know but.......
was this a kit you bought from somewhere or just something you pieced together yourself?

I have to pick up from the jam room and open back up to double check. I bopught one of those kits off ebay. I'll be checking with the site to see what else everyone thinks. I'll update if I find anything.
