I'm confused here regarding the first post, are you pissed at someone that said that or at a song ie. another brick in the wall (part 2) ? If you're angry at the song then you should listen to the album and realize that it tells a story and does not encourage people not to study etc.

Enlighten me so I can understand were this thread came from. :?

I find it hard to believe that most of what we read is supposed to be on an eighth grade level, and people still cannot get the jist of what is being written. I also find it hard to "dummy-down" something that I am already explaining on a high school level to people.

I think that our government officials (at least around here) needs to stop cutting funds for education and cut the real bull. I'm sorry, but government officials should not make more than the "average" citizen. At least then they would be on our level when it came to what they really spend money on. That is all the politics I am going to express at this time, sorry for the rant.

I think Danny is ruminating on the need for a musical education versus just playing what you feel. Luckily it's a big stage, there's room for everybody.

All my life adult life I have been involved in one form of personal growth or another. I found that when I retired there was a large gap left that needed to be filed. Because of my earlier experience with music, I decided to rekindle an old flame. I spent a few bucks and got set up with a new guitar and amp. I began to play, I soon discovered that most of the skill that once was present, was all but gone. There was a lot of work to do. That means PRACTICE, I dident take it seriously. What I didn't realise was that unless you take it seriously, its not going to work. I was lucky enough to run across a few guys in the same boat so to speak, do a little brainstorming and come up with a plan. Part of my plan was to get involved with a group of folks with similar interests, this forum is what I chose, What a lucky find for me. Since joining last winter, I have improved my music skills by 101010101% and found that the great love I once had for music was still there. Taking guitar lessons is a one on one deal, and you cant beat that. This forum gives you the collective mind power of hundreds of minds and countless ideas about what to do. You can get any thing from advice on your Love life to how to cook a chicken what a fantastic place this is. THANKE YOU FENDER & THANK ALL OF YOU FOR BEING HERE. :) Sorry for the long winded post - I just wanted to say thanks.
----Danny,
