As told by a man named Pat Oday, a Seattle music Icon.
Mr Oday, was heavily involved in Hendrix, as well as being the bigest music promoter in Seattle in the 60's. He was also a big time local DJ. he was being intervuied by KING5 NEWS last night and was talking about the old days.
An intrsting thing was a memory of a night at the Spanish Castle in Fedoral Way, when a young Black man aproached him and offered to lend his equiptyment, to anyone on stage for the permishion to stand on the back of the stage and play along. One night a big named act blue up there sound cystem. the young man came forwerd and asked if they wanted to use his amps they acepted and went on with the show Several years later in New York MR. Hendrix asked Mr. Oday if he rememberd where they first met. Mr. Oday did not ,Hendrix said. I was the kid on the back of the stage at the Castle.
THE SPANISH CASTLE /PARKERS BALL ROOM & THE CRISTOL BALL ROOM were three of the bigist venues around back then. :)
----Danny, PS Speling can be a pityfull thing

Jimi was all around here in Clarksville and Nashville,Tn. in the early to mid '60s playing R&B in clubs, but things were segregated in those days to a point and I've known a lot of musicians who were here then that never saw him.
He was just another unknown guitar player on Jefferson St. in the beer joints, and on Printer's Alley sometimes.
