I just straight out feel sorry for the guy..... Poor simple bloke.....sad story...

ya know, i kinda do too in a way. he seemed just kinda desperate in a way. i dont know why. desperate or nervous one.
thing is, he was probably 48 yrs old. at that point in age you should know whats a sound investment or not. not that you should know if its gonna pay off or not but if the whole thing is just a good idea in general.
thats one thing they dont teach over here in the states in regular school and it bugs me.
money management. its like if we find out about it the whole economy will tumble to the ground. they teach us how to add it, subtract it, and what pieces make what amount.
thats where my sadness for the guy ends.
i gave him straight forward advice ozrv. i honestly hope he listened to me.
the sells guys knew they had a sucker standing there for sure. i would have stood there with him through the sells BS but that is my home store and i get treated very well there
if you know what i mean. way better than most anyways. i just wish he would have shown
me the one guitar from the very begining. we could have had school in a different way at that point. i dont know everything ok but i sure as heck seen this guy coming wallet out, so did the sells guy. about the only investment worth going into debt for is your personal home, even then there are several schools of thought on that. i just couldnt believe the guy was willing to spend so much and doesnt know a dang thing about guitars period.
he will learn by the advice of others or by the school of hard knocks.
bad thing is ive been school by hard knocks so i know what hes in for lol. (ooh it hurts too)

i have a 72 deluxe which i basically had handed down to me, and i love it.

BUT, if i were to buy a new guitar and pay that much, i would get a PRS. plain and simple.

The only way a robot guitar could be an investment is if it's one of the original blue silverburst robots, but even then, it's likely that the price won't go up. The reason guitars get popular and expensive is because people play them, other people hear those people playing them, and they want that sound. How do you get that sound? You play that guitar. That is one of the things that revived the Les Paul, people heard people like Clapton playing a Les Paul and said, "I want that sound! First of all, who is playing that guitar, and second, where do I get one?!?!?" I don't know any professional musician playing a Robot.... Just sayin.... And I even own one of those originals! One of my friends sold it to me for really cheap, so I thought why not. I don't think it will ever be worth anything, but it's a cool looking guitar with a nice case! Haha. I hope for all those invested in guitars that they will be worth something, but honestly, without there being a reason for them to be worth something, they won't be.
