Eric Burdon and WAR: Spirit features Cowbell, y'all. At least through the intro. Off the "The Black-Mans Burdon" album.

I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot of late 60's, early 70's music with cowbell. I'll get back to you when I remember any more specific titles. :)

Nutter

Edit: Add Creedence Clearwater Revival with Down On the Corner

Kept my promise ;-)

The original "Don't Fear the Reaper" of course...Blue Oyster Cult...though I love the SNL skit, a real classic!

Streetheart's"Everybody's Workin' for The Weekend".
EDIT:Big Oops,it was Loverboy not Streetheart that did "Workin' For The Weekend" I kinda figured I may have been wrong because Streetheart had little Nicky Gilder on vocals and he couldn't handle vocals like that.

There's a song on Gov't Mule's Live...With a Little Help from our Friends album. I don't have the album and not sure of the title of the song, but it has a cowbell solo

Ha - it suddenly popped into my head (OK, via the earbuds on my iPod): Slip Kid, first track on The Who's By Numbers album. Nice cowbell and other percussion noises throughout that one.

Cheers - C
