I'd love to make a pilgrimage to Seattle some day to visit the grave of the man who taught me to play from my soul and not my brain or hands-Jimi Hendrix. With regard to the weather:here in Newfoundland we've only had 2 days so far where the temp hit 20C-(68F),most days it rarely gets above 10C(50F). While most of the rest of Canada and the US is sweltering under higher than normal temps we're fighting frostbite. We haven't had 2 nice days together for weeks and weeks.

You're lucky, here we only get 3 seasons-winter,summer and misery. We consider ourselves blessed if we get 8 weeks of truly warm weather. It usually only lasts the last 2 weeks of July to the 2nd week of August. You generally can't swim in the ponds after that.I remember when I was in high school in the early 70s we would "go on the pip"-play truant-from the first week of June onward to go swimming but the past 25 years you can't go near a pond until at least after the first week of July and that's only for the brave or foolish. If there is such a thing as global warming noone told Newfoundland about it.

I have never been to Newfoundland but from what you see on T.V. it's a lot like here. I think your winters may be a little colder our avg. winter day is rain and 40/45 nights 28/35 with an ocational week or so of snow and 18/25. lots of early morning black ice on the roads. :)
