As many of you have seen,I added a tele bridge pickup and a volume pot to my acoustic.I is the best sound I have ever heard in an acoustic. But the pickup just isn't hot enough.I have the gain way up and the knob set to 7 and I dont like that...sooooo,I guess my question is what is an extremely hot pickup That is also very clear and warm sounding?

Hold on...I missed that one. Can you post a link for me?

As for your poll...I say p90...they sound pretty unique and I think with the acoustic it's be pretty cool.

And you could of course try to make your own pickup.... There was a user here a while back that made his own guitar, pickup and everything, with very little knowledge of how to do it. Now obviously the guitar itself was no custom shop instrument, but the pickup sounded beautiful! I think he said he made it out of nails and magnets from cel phones, ear buds, etc...

A bucker would be nice because this thing buzzes like cazy unless I touch the strings. :( But being that Im mounting it in the sound hole .It would look bad and block all the sound trying to come out when I play without an amp. :( I think I'll try the jazzmaster pickup. But it will be a few months bofore I can aford it.(still paying off my strat  )

Are you sure you grounded it properly?

Just curious Super Kid but what type of strings are you using on it?BTW If you use a P-90 you'll get a tone close to the lovely tone theBeatles got from their Gibson J-160s.
