Not to sound like a jerk, but I've heard maybe AC/DC songs where the bass is even audible without headphones and serious concentration, and maybe 2 or 3 where it's actually a defined sound instead of low "bumbumbumbum"....

But yea, I've never heard of him using anything but Musicmans.

The bass is tight with AC/DC it is apparent live how important he is to the sound though.

That I will not argue. Seen 'em twice, the man just keeps it going like a machine.

As of 1995's Ballbreaker, Cliff has been using Music Man StingRay basses strung with D'Addario flatwounds; he is most frequently seen using a pre-Ernie Ball model with a vintage sunburst finish. During the early years with AC/DC, he mainly used Precision basses, although during some live performances he used a Fender Jazz bass. For 1980's Back in Black, it has been seen that he used a non-reverse Gibson Thunderbird in sunburst coloring.[18] He used a P bass on For Those About to Rock We Salute You. For the 1983 album Flick of the Switch (and the tour that supported it), he used a black Steinberger.[19] He stuck mainly to Precision basses in various forms through the 1980s (with the exception of Fly On The Wall, in which he used a Gibson black SG Bass re-issue.) On The Razor's Edge he used a jazz bass mainly. He also uses 2 Ampeg 8x10 bass cabs, and prefers the sound of cables over wireless units.[5]

Well, if you google Cliff Williams Jazz bass, you get hella hits and they all say that is what he used on The Razor's Edge.

Also, on an AC/DC Gear site, for their 1980 Back in Black tour Cliff used:

Cliff Fender Precision Bass
Fender Jazz Bass
3 mARSHALL 8 x 10s
3 Ampeg Suits

So he was using Jazz Basses since at least 1980.

Cliff Williams is a great bass player. To me, he's like the Duck Dunn of Hard Rock.

Wow now there is something I NEVER thought I'd see. Duck and Hard Rock in the same sentence! Congrats for pulling that off Chef Wong!
