There is a guy selling a Duesenberg - Starplayer TV guitar near me. He is putting it up for 2,100,000won (approximately $1,940). It is a beautiful guitar and a good deal at that price. BUT, it would make money a little tight for a while. I am struggling because i want it, it is a great higher end guitar but i don't know. Anyone have any thoughts one way or another?

never put your hobby above your means. never allow your hobby to come first over your household. thing is too, in life sometimes we gotta make a few sacrafices to be able to enjoy the things we want in life. there, i said nothing to help you but also let you know that i agree with everything you already know.

I suppose it depends what you mean by 'a little while'......................a couple of weeks, even a month, of eating beans on toast can be done but making yourself struggle especially when you are away from homw, per se, is a tough call.

SAying that, I would probably, if I didn't have a wife and two kids, go hungry for a few weeks/months for a good Deusenberg...................

staying within your means is always good advise. your hoby/ guitars /fishing/ golf/flying/hotrods/ there all the same, and will take over if you let them. If its only you and you dont have a family yet, go for the guitar, and eat 2/one hamburgers for a while.

Zen, only you know if you can truly afford it. It's a really nice guitar, but you're asking a bunch of guitar addicts whether or not you should buy it

I agree with WCR's original post. Just take everything with caution, bearing in mind the happiness the guitar would bring
There is no shame in letting her go, either. We've all let guitars slip by, but everything happens for a reason. There are a lot of guitars to come across in one lifetime.
