Congrats Boston, you did the rest of canada a huge favor.

why the hell would you burn your own city over a sporting event.

I watched that after the game and again this morning - - stabbings, destruction, etc ???

Thomas was otherworldly, and the B's defense was smothering.

Outhustled and outhit the 'Nucks for most of the game.

Weird goals, eh? Only 2 out of the 4 were "real" goals, but I guess they all count.

I'll take 'em. Props to the Canucks also, for a great season & series!

Way to pull it off, Boston! It was the highest intensity game I have ever seen. It's a shame the Canucks couldn't have done better but it's all over now. That is, it's all over except us paying for all the damage done by some pretty screwed up young men.

I feel personally ashamed for Vancouver. :( :( I mean, it wasn't my fault - I wasn't there. It wasn't Vancouvers' fault and I'm not sure what more the police could have done, (although I'm sure there will be lots of finger pointing in that direction.)

The fact is, it was a small group that incited a larger group, then all hell broke loose. The interesting thing is: every person there was photographed and can, (and hopefully WILL) be identified. I hope they get spanked bad!

Hockey is over. Bring on summer!

Peace,
Gridlok

Congrats to the Bruins, they definitely deserved to win that series. And I'm glad to see Thomas get the Conn Smyth!

Vancouver simply couldn't produce goals when it needed to. Luongo should get a fair share of the blame for the collapse, but I don't see how a team with the leading point scorer in the regular season and so much supposed offensive firepower can get shut out in a Game 7. I think the Sedins are going to be taking a lot of heat for this series during the off-season.

As for the rioting afterward in Vancouver...simply a disgrace. I'm sure it was a relatively small portion of the fans, but there is still no excuse for tearing your own city apart. I'm hoping that everyone who took part in that insanity is hunted down and appropriately punished.

On a final note, as a Buffalo Sabres fan, I'm encouraged by the fact that my team managed to beat this year's eventual Cup winner four times during the regular season. Perhaps they're not quite as far away from a championship as we might have thought :)

Just heard that a bunch of young people, (the age of the idiots from last night), felt so awful that something like that could happen in our beautiful, West Coast, relaxed, peaceful city, that they arrived this morning to the site(s) armed with cleanup gear. BRAVO! WELL DONE!

Also, on the radio, they said these guys were a little better planned than we thought. Like people arriving downtown carrying gas. Nasty, destructive bit of anarchy being done by a few "brave" guys with their faces covered.

We'll see what the thousands of photos turn up.

Peace,
Gridlok

Well, it looks as though many opted for the 'sugar-free' variant, so a least a few are taking care of themselves

Red Bull nd Grey Goose is a big one too, and I'll assume they were rocking that too by the contents of the bill.

All that light beer cracks me up too.
