Yep. I guess that's about all Rome was good for. Horton was really stepping it up these Playoffs. Vancouver, though they lost, did gain another long-term advantage.

I somehow MISSED the Horton hit. Just saw it now and boy! That was a smoker! I gotta say though, a player skating into that zone of defense has really got to keep his eyes open. He seemed to not have any idea Rome was in the vicinity. I think that if he HAD seen Rome, that would have been just one more of the many, (too many, I think) brutal hits in the game. That, plus the worst possible landing. Rotten thing to happen. Too bad.

Gridlok :(

Horton had long since completed his pass. Rome had plenty of time to let up, if not actually not make the hit, but instead he planted his feet and drove the hit.
Another dirty late hit from a marginal player. The suspension for the rest of the playoffs was pretty light. that's the exact kind of hit the league is trying to remove.

For a team that held a press conference crying about the referees Vancouver crosses the line a lot. especially considering, Torres made a questionable hit during his first game back (on Seabrook,) after serving a suspension for a late hit on Eberle in a meaningless game at the end of the season against the last place team. the hit on Seabrook should have been another suspension, but the campbell made up some bogus double speak about a 'hitting zone' (The Canucks fan complained when bieksa got hit the same way, but who could blame Chicago, since the Canucks got away with injuring one of their key players with one of their marginal guys--sound familiar?)

then Burrows bites a player, the league turns a blind eye, even though it was a stupid play all around, the rules are clear, should have been one or two games, so the league (Murphy this time,) says they couldn't tell if he bit or not, to give them a free pass again.

Dirty hits, tons of diving. Like this particular nonsense (i hope they found the sniper nest in the rafters, cause it sure looks like he was shot!!) :

At least we have a series now, I really have no prediction as to tomorrow's game. Should be a real barn burner though!

Not much longer to wait now...about 12 more hours! Both coaches have been "spoken to" and not sure how tonight's game will end, but it will be very interesting, to say the least.

Puck drop is imminent, hopefully the refs don't choke the life out this one tonight.

Hmmm...
Didn't expect this kind of physical domination.
Vancouver don't seem to have an answer for it.
Luongo looked bad leading up to being pulled after the 4th goal.

Boston will have to win away from home.
'Nucks don't. Game 5 should be fantastic.
Can the B's keep rolling and get an away win and really take control of the series? Can the 'Nucks (and Luongo) pull themselves together and use home ice to their advantage and regain control of the series?

It's a best of three series now!

I'm guessing Bruins in six and the Garden will rock on Monday!!!
