Neither hybrid nor electric for me.

I'll take hydrogen thanks... and then when someone pisses me off, leave it outside their house with a bomb in it. That'd wipe the smile off their face. 8)

In all seriousness, I'd love to see hydrogen take off. I'm seriously into my cars, and adding electricity to the experience just makes it pure faggotry. Electric cars- no awesome burble from a ridiculous octopot girding its loins for the horizon... and a hybrid adding a stupid amount of weight for a battery.

Plus there's the environmental ramifications to consider once these batteries are screwed. If they want to play the 'environment' card, so will I...

So hydrogen. If they can find a safe way to contain it, it's totally clean and still allows you to have a proper fuelled experience. BMW, Honda and Mazda have been experimenting with it very successfully. I'd have one tomorrow if I could.

BMW 740iH which can allow me to be chauffeured and produce nothing but drinkable water from the exhaust? I'll have some of that. :D

I'm a guy who likes small cars and trucks, been driving Toyota's since 1967. I'm still not ready to opt for a Hybrid as I agree with a lot of those posting on here that the total energy consumed and pollution generated by Hybrid production exceeds what a similar size car with an internal combustion engine. Today's small cars get terrific fuel mileage and have about the same options as anything on the road. I also agree that the future is in alternate fuel cars and probably a Hydrogen conversion of some sort.

I will say Toyota can get you into a Prius for 24K........ Not bad. Pretty good price......I just can't haul plywood in one.

Screw that stuff, I love my V8.
And how is increasing the demand for coal generated electricity being environmentally conscious anyway (Goddamn hypocritical tree huggers). Overpopulation is actually a way more immediate concern than anything else.
No matter what we do, the sun will eventually go nova and "cook" this rock to a cinder. On the bright side, long before that the human species will probably have become extinct just like many other species have over the eons.

Well considering Chevy has to take $7500 off the price of a Volt just to sell one, I am going to go with NO.

let's switch the environmental talk to lightbubs if you don't mind....

my wife and i loaded up recently on incandescent bulbs. why you say?

first off, we were able to get about 8 - 60 watt bulbs for the cost of 1 compact flourescent. also the cfl's have a funny color to them.

to top it off, if you receive your hd signals from a regular antenna, they cause interference on your tv

not sold on the new bulbs

Ugh. Agreed. Also, if you have dimmer switches you're boned. They do NOT like them.

The light they give off is very odd. I love halogen, just not the costs with it. Someone needs to work on getting some halogen copies. One for the Japanese maybe..?

YES!

I am doing the same. The new bulbs are also and enviromental disaster in the making. They are full of mercury. When those bulbs burn out they are gong into garbage cans all over the world. And the Mercury will go into the groundwater systems.

Al Gore is profiting off of the trading of "Carbon Credits"

Global warming and Climate change is just a profiting scheme for leftists.
