TCM periodically runs "Strategic Air Command" -- check their website schedule for the next airing.

I have a bootleg DVD copy of the film.

Strictly speaking, SAC is not a "war movie" per se as the film deals only with the Cold War and many of the associated peace-time issues. Still a great film though -- and the only one to my knowledge that features some great color B-36 and B-47 footage.

I like SAC mostley because I grew up as a dependant in a peace time airforce family. A lot of whats in the movie are things I remember as a kid. My dad was in SAC from the early 50's untill he retired. A lot of special memories there. :)

Same here.

My Dad retired after 22 years, right after the Cuban Missile Crisis.
