I was asigned to an Army Transportation unit on a Freight Ship it was The Sister Ship to The "Pueblo" a spy ship used in the 60's. It was a small ship with limited space. The Galey was to small for the K.P's. to perform there duties so We went on deck and used the Fan Tail or Stern of the ship. I remember one day we were pealing potatoes and the sea was kind of nasty. After pealing a potato, it was placed in a 5gal. pot of water. As we sat and pealed we were getting sea sick, and starting to puke. some in the pot and some not. We never told the cooks what we had done and let them cook them up YUM-YUM. I dont think it made anyone sick but my #2$%&*.

+1. I hated KP. Having to get up at 4:30 and do the work the cooks signed up for always sucked.
Worst one I ever did was my first one in basic training, apparently I had stepped on a ketchup packet and tracked ketchup all over the chow hall. My Drill Seargent wasn't too pleased with that fact so he took out a gallon jug of ketchup from the walk in, spread it all over the tile floor, and I had the fun task of cleaning that mess up. Let's just say that getting ketchup out of tile grout in a timely manner is not a fun task.
