That is a VERY broad subject. I have seen vintage fenders and gibsons selling for astronomical prices (upwards of 100k) and in bad shape I have seen some that were nearly being given away.
Check out Guitar Center's listings...might give you a basic idea of what you could expect for what guitar.

The prices can range anywhere from $1,600 for a circa 1969 Fender Duo Sonic to over $100,000 for a Les Paul Standard flame top or goldtop with PAFs.

If I had a 58-60 'burst Les Paul, I would sell it, pay off my house and buy me three other (normal) guitars.

I like those Pauls, but $100K to $300k for almost any guitar is ridiculous.

Give me a few years. Right now I don't feel like explaining to my wife why I chose a vintage guitar over a house... :shock: She's a pretty understanding woman, but I'm sure she has her limits.
