Agreed! And I can't think of a better guy to host an instructional DVD -- certainly sends the message: "if I can do it, so can you!"

I'm not sure about the gentleman who plays wih his feet, but the guy in the first video stated he was actually born without his right hand. Which I think makes it even more amazing he can play that well. He had to learn everything from the beginning without the advantage of a picking hand. I'm not sure I would have had that level of dedication to the instrument.

John is a great guy and shows up at guitar clinics in Connecticut. He's a great Van Halen player. Check out his "Beat It" tribute just after Michael Jackson died....doing Eddie's part.

(I have a guitar just like his....different color) Someday I'll play as well as him. Well, maybe not.....so I'll stick with having the same guitar.

now thats what i call an inspiration! (well to me anyway). people like that inspire me to start playing in front of people. who cares if my hand looks strange when i'm playing, just do it!

exactly RFUS. these guys, i dont see them as guitar players at first, i see them as inspirationists, if thats a word. do they inspire me to play? nope i have enough of those already, but they inspire me as a reminder in life.
to not look at the odds in a situation, look at the desire within, when the road ahead looks impossible.
when i was growing up the old timers use to say, "cant never did nothing", and once again here is the proof.
