Hello one and all from sunny Wolverhampton. A couple of weeks ago my dear wife made me the happiest man alive by telling me she would buy me a guitar from an upcoming windfall, ( I did the washing up to show my thanks ). I must confess she hasn't said how much she'll be willing to spend, but i've graciously set myself a £500 limit. Now for the serious stuff. I've loved Strats since I first saw Blackmore with Rainbow, and my first guitar was a Maya Strat, natual ash, maple neck, lovely. Never could afford the real thing and I am now wetting myself with exitement. Thing is, i'm not that comfy with 9.5" necks as i've got used to playing my kids Ibanez guitars and would like to know if Fender do a compound neck or a neck closer to 12".

Anyway the Strat Blacktop in Candy Apple Red looks gorgeous.

Thanks for the link cherokee, but it's those buckers that are doing funny things to my nethers. The roar of a bucker in a Strat body, it should be Heaven.
