Hendrix by a lot. Page was good but Hendrix took it to a new level.

Well, Jimi would have the height and strength advantage-I mean the guy chopped a mountain down with the edge of his hand. Page probably has a bad back from all those shows where he wore a Les Paul like a gangster wears pants-slung so low you'd think it's gonna fall off. In the end, I think Page would be KO'd, lying dazed and confused on the ground like he got hit by crosstown traffic or something.

Write in vote - Jeff Santana or Carlos Beck or Danny Buchanan or Roy Gatton. :D

i recon hendrix and srv are fairly evenly matched... although almost all of jimi's songs are blues/ rock anthems...

Hendrix when in his prime. Unfortunately, Jimi got ate up by the rock star life and wasn't always at his best. I have friends who say the worse concert they ever went to was Hendrix. I have dozens of bootleg cd's of Jimi and some of it is painful to listen to.
Over the long haul I think Jeff Beck is one that seems to have really maintained his chops.
Page will always be one of the greatest ever.
Gossamer, my take is, keep it up, tone it down. Nothing wrong with participating, you got me posting.
