I've never seen him say the price of the guitar he's playing in his videos (maybe he did, but I don't remember) and although it was free publicity for him and his shop, his videos seemed more of a "familiarize yourself with a vintageg guitar/history lesson" than anything else...a little history lesson from your whacky professor.

To Way Cool: It's good to see you back, bro...

Perhaps i did not read the links contents correctly, but isn't the LPF's mode to sell Gibson's whereas this forum does not allow any advertising or listing for selling Fenders... :?:

There have been reference links to FA on this forum.

Thanks, hadn't tuned in to the Phil-X spatial dimension in a while.
Always enjoyable, funny and food for thought as to what it takes to be in demand as a session player....Hmmmm... :!: :!:

Energy wise, well he was probably one of the kids in class that just could not be doing something, always busy and buzzing...Type A.

The thing I like the most about Philx is how much he enjoys what he is doing.

Although his stuff is cool i'ts still "ADVERTISING" and sets a precedent, opening the door for others to do the same thing. If I want to see an add I can look one up, :)

But how is that any different from the multitude of referenced links to YouTube..?

I disagree as far as advertising, demo-ing...Yes..... But advertising would have to include an ask price for the vintage guitar as well as phil saying, check it out on this FA site.
The link is there but it is entirely up to the viewer to continue further and link in to Fretted Americana.

I like the site, there isn't anywhere else that I'm aware of that offers demo's of so many vintage guitars. Plus the guy can play, Tower of Power Funk to AC-DC to Bolin to Hank Marvin, to Country licks and then some.
He is hip, doesn't have a big head, is confident about his abilities all the while laughing when he screws up. My kind of act to go listen to. Oh Yeah and his wife Ninette is definitely a talented and pleasant vocalist with stage presence...Their lyrics are to the point reminding me very much of the Oz Band " The Divinyls "
Unfortunately, Powder is no more but perhaps in another creative incarnation.....
They'll tour the East Coast..... Hear that Phil-X......

actually guys i ment it as a joke. i think people enjoy philX more than they do what hes playing. hes a good sport and a heck of a musician, if you notice, in his videos, he plays fenders like 8 to 1 over all others.
