Hi all, just going to get my MIM deluxe series nashville telecaster repainted and im thinking while its apart i may change out the pickups, i was thinking because of the way there are 3 pickups in the nashville tele's there is no need to route out the cavities, i was mainly thinking of changing the neck pickup. I was thinking of either a soap bar p90 (such as a Seymour Duncan SP90-2 Hot P-90 Soapbar) or possibly a mini humbucker (such as a Seymour Duncan SM-1 Vintage Mini Humbucker) or possibly even a full sized humbucker. But I'd just like to hear what advise you guys have, which neck pickup do you think would best work in context with the other pickups? (tex-mex strat pickup: middle position, tex-mex tele pickup: bridge)

I'd try a Duncan P-90 Stack® STK-P1. When I was on the west coast last month,
someone had swapped out their's for that (and a Little '59™ for Tele ST59-1b for bridge) and it sounded real good with the Tex Mex middle pup.
