anyone have one of these in their guitars? i'm looking at the fernandes sustainer kits and thinking of getting one and having it professionally installed, but i was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with these types of pickups in their guitars and whether its worth the money or not

i'd be adding to my les paul, which i was going to change the pickup anyways

No experience with them here, but perhaps you could find a shop that has Fernandes guitars to try one out.

Are there any stores that sell Fernandes?

well, i've found a pickup called a FSK-101 which i am most likely goign to get after seeing demos and knowing a few artists that use them, its now just a question of whether it would be reasonable or not cost wise to get it installed because to do it myself with all the soldering and cutting and such would be risky..... just go to the fernandes site and go to their sustain section and you can see demos and such of the pickups
