Either way sometimes things get a bit frustrating when it gets to the business side of it. Then there is the thing with personalities of which most of us are good to go but I think there allways has to be one that sticks out like a sore thumb. Thus "sending me crazy".

The mind is a thing to terribly waste or not and that's what happens when your bandmate drives you batty like a hamster. Understand? The world makes it that way because I decided when I was 8 that I just had to do this thing with a guitar and now I've said what I've said and there's all this.

I'll bet the one that's a sore thumb is the one with a determination to get things done. If so, just hand the running of the band over to him. If it doesn't work out, tell him so.

I just lost a excellent drummer (best I've heard ever) through that. He wanted to take control but was never given the chance by other members. So left.
Something I deeply regret.
Sort it out mate, get it all out in the open with Messer's Thumb and Fingers.

Sometimes we look at it as-- hey were just a group of guys playing music--- but then there is real frustration and pressure and with as many people that live in a box as we have , things can come to a head from time to time. Little quirks can get to me after awhile. Like our guitarist absolutely has to eat every two to three hours and always before soundcheck. He weighs maybe 90lbs. I guess I should eat every two to three hours and lose some weight. It's a thought.

i'm having a few issues with our little band also. simple laziness. our set list is stale.
but, i know i can step away before feelings (OR LIMBS) are broken. i just bite my lip. i'm too old to look for another band.

I can hear that! Same thing. Our list is stale and we don't seem to be able to get any new tunes due to the complete excuse ridden excuses of one guy.
We did songs noone else did 3 years ago but now the other groups are doing alot of our list. It's another thing we are starting to work on. I can't stress it enough. It is very important. A band can go down by never changing up the list-- been there done that more than once.

vance, i'm 42 and i work 2 sometimes 3 jobs. i still find a few hours to work on differnt tunes. hell, i even figure out the bass lines too. i'm not talking about doing brand new tunes. we (they) won't touch anything past 1980. it's just very boring for me right now and i'm tired of it. i won't quit the band and i won't quit pushing them to try new stuff. they just don't want to work at it. va-jay-jays.

These days I think it's a near miracle to get a band up and running. There are just so many considerations to begin with. How us bunch of older guys ended up getting it together is a wonder. How we ended up being pretty sucessfull at it is a whole nuther problem. Now we can't just mess around and drink and go to a bar and play and look like we just went fishing ..... No sir- it's lights, soundman, action, loud, Ed Hardy,no drinkin and such,taxes,LLC, Paychecks,Band bank account, accountants, Smoke machines, 90 min. sets, 2 hrs. early to a gig for set up and soundcheck, mileage logs, expenses, practice studio with monthly payment, stage moves, stages, cranky guys, tired from the night before, demo CD's , video,Websites,posters, pictures,expenses, food , gas OMG, cigs, Monster drink, t-shirts, bumper stickers, schmoozing, cook outs, cowboy boots, Band jackets ,concert gigs , hotel rooms, getting stuck in elevators, finding parking.... did I say expenses? ... girls dancing right in front of you, and so.......... you think that all sounds like fun.????.................... WELL IT"S NOT.........OKAY????

now I know why the accepted me into the NICP
