Just kidding. :D

I did have some questions about roadworn guitars, maple vs. rosewood fretboards and why anyone who plays less than .013 guage strings is a wimp though ...

(I'm sorry, I'm bored  )

Kong, everybody knows that Roadworn guitars are cool especially if you roadwear them yourself over the years  , and that maple fretboards have a bit brighter sound than rosewood fretboards, and that .013 gauge is for players like me that have big hands ( when i use .008, .009 or .010 and I bend a string it goes up over the top of the fretboard  ) , I think so, so, therefore perhaps it is so, no (a little bored too 8) )

I see a few people are on a roll today. In response to your Questions:

Fender Decals--contact Fender Customer Service

Rosewood and maple both have an appeal to me, one is not better than another, however, I do have 2 rosewood necks and only 1 maple.

13's on anything other than an acoustic is just asking for some serious calluses. String guage is a personal choice and everybody has their own opinions and I respect that. I like 10's (almost to 13's on my electric).

On a serious note:

I am looking into a new guitar. Which Fender model is the best for a amateur who likes the best but does not need the best? (INCOMING!!!!!!)

Danny, in our defense of liking good gear, the products sold by Fender, Gibson, Martin, Gretsch, Ibanez, Rickenbacker and Taylor is pretty much mid-line.

There are a gob of new instruments out there way more expensive than the "mass production, part number in catalogue," companies.

depends on your style and your price range. I really REALLY love my Jaguar Special HH (MIJ). really like it but there are lots of great fender models to choose from.

Personally, I like the old junkers.

Especially the amps......

Hi Arjay: now that's my idea of multi-amping! :D

Hmm. Ten amps, all with their jewel lights glowing - and not a cable in sight. It's so handy to have enough wall sockets all in one place, isn't it? The electricians who wire houses are seldom guitarist-friendly, are they?

Cheers - C

I'm a bot and I read (in his Ask Mike forum) Mike Eldred admit to putting Fender decals on non-Fender necks ...
