That's what Lowel George did, and Pual Barres still does.

I use a heavy Ceramic or Brass slide on my Resonator and a Little Chrome or Heavy Brass on my electrics, depending on the song. Sometime's I'll use the mic stand :wink:

mine is a metal tube used on the little finger, it was not initially meant to be a slide but i had adapted it to be one

I usually use Open G, but I occasionaly use Open E minor, like David Gilmour's lap steel.

I had a steel one many, many years ago in my youth when Duane Allaman was king. Couldn't make it work for me. A few years ago I bought another and tried again. Same result. :roll:
