The Macho Man died this morning of a heart attack while driving. He was 58.
I am not a wrestling fan now, but I was when I was a kid and he was one of my favorites.
RIP

i got to spend a lot of time with randy when i was growing up. he was an amazing guy.
very kind hearted, very giving back to the community.
this news i recieved from a good friend just hours ago sadened my deeply.
havent seen much of randy since elizabeth died a few yrs back just up the street from me.
though his tv persona led you to believe one thing, buy i assure you he wasnt anything like what he was paid to be. randy savage, jody hamilton, and randy colley, where
great friends of the family. Randy was missed long before this tragic accident.
RIP mancho man.

The "MACHO MAN" of my day was a guy by the name of "GORGEOUS GEORGE" Austin,Texas 1950. Wrestling is a cool sport and one of the most intertaining of them all

RIP "MACHO MAN".

Randy Savage was my favorite wrestler as a kid, and I felt a tinge of sadness when I heard he'd died. R.I.P Randy. Snap into a Slim Jim! Hoooah!

Still, always sad to see a childhood hero pass, despite his terrible rap album, MMRS was one of the all time greats.

You're aware MMRS was fired from the WWF back in the 90s because he slept with Vince McMahon's daughter at the ripe age of 14, aren't you? So, it's not like the guy was a class act. It's one of the reasons after WCW went under Macho Man stayed gone, was never mentioned and never made it into the HOF. In fact, WWE refused to work with him, for this year's WWE All-Stars, game devs THQ were required to contract him seperately. Just saying.

Still, always sad to see a childhood hero pass, despite his personal shortcomings and terrible rap album, MMRS was one of the all time greats.[/

oh your one of those guys.
first, before you go spreading rumors about somebody you dont even know, i advise you to do a little homework. the rumor of randy and the boss's daughter is pretty far out there big guy. the rumor started AFTER randy left vince and company and was said to have happened in 1994/95. funny how randy departed very early 1994. now then since ole steph was born in 1976 that would put her at about 18yrs old wouldnt it? not 14.
man you really have no clue do you? let me ask you something. if a 39ish yr old man was dating/doing/raping your daughter, wouldnt you press charges? dont you owe that to your daughter? were are YOUR morals at dude? funny how even after the "big BS" story of this was released all his fellow wrestler friends kept on handing with him and talking highly of him.
one would think they would disown him at the very least right? i mean having sexual relations with a 14 yr old?
maybe not in your circle of friends but in the normal world thats what happens.
NOBODY likes a child rapist. well not in my circle of friends anyways.
i mean thats statutory rape in any state. before you spread rumors about something you have no damn clue about either do some thinking, do some research, or keep your teeth together. lets see if i can shed you some freakin light on this real quick and give you a big maybe as to what really happened ok.
randy left vince high and dry after he promised not to leave when his contract ran out in 1994. then he told vince he wanted to quit and pursue "other opportunities" life had to offer him. he promised vince that he wouldnt leave and go to wcw, vince #1 compitition.
dec of 1994 wwf mag had a life tribute to randy as he was even on the cover. just after the release vince found out that randy did infact leave wwf and went to WCW, even though
he gave vince his word it wouldnt go down like that. not only that, he recruited several of vinces star employees to WCW.
that left vince with a lot less cash flow, not to mention the contract vince had with getting his % of randy's endorcements like slimjim. lots and lots of money out of vinces pocket there in those two alone, not to mention the video game and toy kick backs of randy and the other stars that he took with him. these were trying times for vince's camp as WCW was on the rise in a big big way. wwf was having huge finance issues that just about shut down the biggest company in wrestling history. then randy went on his personal website and bashed vince and the whole family, letting out issues that did nothing but embarass the entire family, but also let out private company issues of WWF that further could sink the company. randy was forced to remove this from his website by court order.
by this time vince was hanging by a thread and everything he owned, everything, was tied into WWF. he stood to lose everything he owned and randy made matters 10X worse by doing what he did. i'll let you do the rest on your own from this point.
do some thinking and know your facts before you post up rumor BS like you did.
how do i know this? lets just say i know the band behind several of the wrestlers intro themes very very well, and like i mentioned earlier, randy was a family friend.
i guess it takes a big man to come in on a thread tributed to the death of someone, even after a forum member speaks out and lets folks know that he was a long time family friend, you go and spread $@!& like this. then you insult by saying , its not like he was a class act. no dude, your not a class act.

You know,I never met Randy but knew a few who did and they said he was a nice guy....I think it's low down to trash a guy who has died, even on a public forum like this,if somebody knew him personally,it would still be low class to do so.

thank you rebel. i use to live in lex ky back in the very late 70's and early 80s.
there was a park in the area where all the kids played and had two ball field, little league and the babe ruth leage's played their games. randy was there as often as he could be.
he would buy enough sodas and hot dogs for the entire both fields. and stayed til the very last game in the evening if possible to cheer for all his little friends he had made.
dont get it twisted, he wasnt rich then. i mean wrestling was still mainly being done at the local national guard armories, and the seats were hardly 5 rows deep lol. he did this out of his own pocket for us kids. he did it in secret as far as the media goes too. it took us an act of God to get him to do his on tv persona lol. it was cool to us kids ya know.
he didnt want to do it because he didnt want to cross the two together, his persona and his joy for us kids. it sucked back then cause he was "that rough and tough" dude on tv right here in front of all of us, but i can appreciate it now. i can still hear the "ooooh yeah rick'o" when he was around the house and visiting with my sister and brother-in-law.
in my eyes he was larger than life then and he stayed that way even until the very end today. oh and randy had no shortage of hotties either lol.
